Abstract

Television cabling distributions have hitherto been constructed by coaxial cables. Their transmission capacity has not been sufficiently utilized. They have transmitted only television channels. Considerable efforts have been made to utilize their bandwidth more effectively for the transmission of not only television channels but also voice, Internet and various interactive supplementary services. New conception presupposes the use of fibre optics. Important characteristic feature of this conception is its reliability.
